Stones River Battlefield Junior Ranger Program

I’ve basically just stopped blogging about homeschool lately, haven’t I?  That is probably because I’ve been so busy homeschooling that I’ve not had time to write about homeschooling.  No need to try and catch up.  I’ll just jump right in.  This past week we met up with some new friends at Stones River Battlefield right here in Murfreesboro.  We learned all about the battle that took place here in our town during the Civil War by touring the museum and filling out a neat book.  Once they completed the mandatory number of activities in their books, they earned a really neat badge, certificate, and were even sworn in, promising to keep their parks clean and be good stewards of the earth.  Good stuff.  This was a really fun and FREE field trip!  Learn more about Stones River Battlefield here
